Researcher at the Laboratory of Bacteriophages in the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy, Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in Wrocław and physician in the Phage Therapy Unit of the Medical Centre of the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy, PAS.

He deals with the use of bacteriophage in experimental therapy of chronic antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections in humans as well as the effects of bacteriophages on human immune system.

In addition, he is employed at the Department of Neurosurgery of Wrocław Medical University, where he deals with neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring and modulation of central nervous system activity in the treatment of extrapyramidal disorders and neurorehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries. For many years he has been translating laboratory results of spinal cord neuroregeneration into real cases of patients with complete spinal cord injury. Within the framework of the international project “Wrocław Walk Again Project” he is responsible for culture of olfactory glial cells.
